Dodd Frank Act Section 1098A
SEC. 1098A. AMENDMENTS TO THE INTERSTATE
LAND SALES FULL DISCLOSURE ACT.
The Interstate Land
Sales Full Disclosure Act (15 U.S.C. 1701 et seq.) is amended—
(1) by striking ‘‘Secretary’’ each place that term appears and
inserting ‘‘Director’’;
(2) by striking ‘‘Department of
Housing and Urban Development’’ each place that term appears and
inserting ‘‘Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection’’;
(3)
by striking ‘‘Department’’ each place that term appears and
inserting ‘‘Bureau’’;
(4) in section 1402 (15 U.S.C. 1701)—
(A) by striking paragraph (1) and inserting the following:
‘‘(1) ‘Director’ means the Director of the Bureau of Consumer
Financial Protection;’’;
(B) in paragraph (10), by striking
‘‘and’’ at the end;
(C) in paragraph (11), by striking the
period at the end and inserting ‘‘; and’’; and
(D) by
adding at the end the following:
‘‘(12) ‘Bureau’ means the
Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection.’’; and
(5) in
section 1416(a) (15 U.S.C. 1715(a)), by striking ‘‘Secretary of
Housing and Urban Development’’ and inserting ‘‘Director of the
Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection’’.
